Creative Vibes in Barcelona

My next adventure has led me to Barcelona, Spain and this the first stop of my summer extravaganza. My friend and I decided to visit three European countries this summer Barcelona, Nice, and Venice. Barcelona gave me artistic vibes, creativity and vivid memories. I was mesmerized by the city’s architecture, creative street art, and how everyone had their own sense of fashion.

Where did I stay: Hostel Live Barcelona near Las Ramblas. I am a big fan of hostels

What did I do: I am a massive fan of hop on hop off tours. It is the most economical way to view the city, especially when you are visiting a destination for a short period. Rather than visiting each tourist location one by one, this option saves you time and money. Here were some of my favorite stops: Sagrada Família, Parc Güell, The Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya, and more.

How to get around: taxi, walk, or take advantage of the hop on hop off tour

Travel Tips: It is imperative to get your tourism tickets in advance especially when traveling during peak seasons, tickets are likely to be sold out.

What to wear: Express yourself through fashion with colors

Did something unusual happen: Yes, I ordered shrimp from a restaurant, and its digestive tract was not removed. (I thought this was so strange and a first, but to my surprise, the waiter explained that this was common and its okay to eat the shrimp this way if it’s cooked.) The waiter was accommodating and allowed me to order something else. Overall, I like to think of myself as well rounded and cultured, but I guess my American ways got the best of me this time. Next time, I’ll be sure not to assume and ask questions before ordering. LOL.
