Can’t stop, won’t stop 90-day financial challenge

Have you ever felt you wanted to complete a financial task, but it seems as though you’re always all over the place or you keep prolonging it? I’ve always been obsessed with the work ethics of Sean “P.Diddy” Combs. So what better name to call this challenge “Can’t stop, won’t stop 90-day financial challenge .” So let’s puts some accountability on your A**.

This year I challenged a couple of friends to complete some substantial financial tasks. My financial goals this year was to pay off my credit card debt and to save 10k. So far I am on track, but there have been many times where I have fallen off… but that’s when you have an accountability partner to keep in check. To sweeten the deal to make sure that each person will meet their goal. If a person does not their target goal, they would have to buy lunch for the others for an entire week. YIKES, Who in the world would want to do that? My point exactly, it challenges us to work even harder. If the goal doesn’t scare you, your goal isn’t big enough.

I hope you find this helpful and hey, you may even want to challenge your friends to this can’t stop won’t’ stop 90 financial challenge. You can choose how you want to construct the challenge. For example, you can do it for 90 day period or the entire year. This platform has kept me on track with my finances.  Although, this challenge is meant to be taken serious, it lightens the load when you have accountability partners to help you. Here are the details:

Pick 4 financial goals and break them up into 90 day periods.

  • January-March: pay off something (student loan, credit card, car note, personal loans, etc.)
  • April-June: work on your savings account (emergency fund)
  • July-September- pay off some debt (student loan, credit card, car note, personal loans, etc.)
  • October-December- work on saving for a goal (trip, car, house)
Here is a debt-free calculator I use to make sure I am on track.
