pity party

The pity parties are over

They don’t serve champagne at pity parties. “The difference between successful people and others is how long they spend time feeling sorry for themselves.”- Barbara Corcoran

I must admit I have had a few sad days, weeks, months, hell even years. However, I had to learn how to balance my emotions.

Spending too much time being overwhelm, sad, and even having those extended Debbie Downer days won’t get anything accomplished. For days when I’m having a moment, I grant myself a 15-minute pity party.

During this party, I am usually dancing or working out. I also like listening to something inspirational or positive to help me get all of my sad emotions out. I don’t use this time to vent. Sometimes venting will get the best of me and then my pity party will get extended.

For many, this pity party may seem extreme, but it has been the best method for me especially after an extended period of not getting shit done.

Well Dolls, the DJ has just announced our 15-minute “Pity Party” is coming to an end, so whatever you need to get out your system, get it out NOW. No more sad shit, let’s boss up. Enjoy your weekend.
